Community Standards

Effective October 23, 2026

Open Galaxies War is a game of rival fleets, not rival people. These standards cover everything players create or say in the game: callsigns, alliance names and alliance chat. They are part of our Terms of Service.

Not allowed

• Harassment, bullying, threats, or encouraging self-harm
• Hate speech, or attacks on anyone for race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age
• Sexual content, and any sexual content involving minors (see below)
• Violent extremism, or praise of real-world violence
• Personal information: yours or anyone else's (phone numbers, addresses, social profiles)
• Spam, scams, phishing, and selling or trading accounts or items for real money
• Impersonating other players, us or public figures
• Illegal activity, drugs or weapons trading
• Callsigns or alliance names that break any of these rules

How we keep it clean

• Callsigns and alliance names are checked against a filter, and offensive words in chat are masked automatically.
• Chat is limited to alliance members and rate-limited. Before your first message, you accept these standards and our Terms.
• Alliance leaders and officers can remove members.
• Block a player: tap their message in alliance chat, or their name in the rankings or your alliance, then Block. Their chat messages are hidden from you.
• Report a player for their callsign, alliance name, chat or cheating: open their profile the same way and tap Report.
• Report a message: long-press it in alliance chat → Report. A message reported by three different players is hidden right away, then reviewed.
• We aim to review reports within 24 hours. For anything serious, also email deam.diaz.developer@gmail.com with the callsign and a screenshot.

Enforcement

Depending on how serious and repeated the behaviour is, we may hide or remove content, reset a callsign or alliance name, mute a player in chat, remove a player from rankings, or suspend or permanently close the account. Where appropriate, we will tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, email us to appeal.

Child safety standards

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, and sexualising minors in any way.

• Open Galaxies War is not directed to children under 13, and chat is limited to alliances. There is no private messaging between strangers.
• Report any such content or behaviour right away, in the app (long-press the message → Report, or Report on the player's profile) and by email to deam.diaz.developer@gmail.com with the subject "Child safety". Our designated child safety contact reads these reports with priority.
• We remove the content, close the accounts involved, and preserve the evidence. We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, where required, to the relevant authorities.
• We comply with applicable child safety laws.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
